  • Kristen Bonito, CPT, CGFI, CPPC

    CHIEF MOM OFFICER, PRE + POST NATAL COACH, FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Emily, Ashley + Lucca

    Kristen is a mom of 3 and lives in Newburyport MA. She loves bringing moms together, and helping them realize they are not alone in this crazy motherhood journey.

    Kristen founded The Mom Comm in 2021 after running stroller workouts and fitness classes for moms in Boston and Newburyport. She realized during the pandemic that moms need more than just fitness. They also need support, connection, and community. She is on a mission to empower moms and moms-to-be to feel their best and juggle motherhood with confidence.

    Kristen is a certified personal trainer, pre + postnatal specialist, and group fitness instructor. She teaches a variety of class formats + has taught at Equinox Fitness Clubs, Boston NAPS, East Side Yoga + Fitness, Motivate Barre, btone Fitness and more.

    When she’s not chauffeuring her kids around town, teaching classes, or building up the community, you can find Kristen playing with her kids outside, wondering how the house will clean itself, and/or attempting fun recipes + baking yummy treats.

  • Caitlyn Allard

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Connor + Millie

    Caitlyn is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher with over 5 years of teaching experience. She first welcomed the practice of yoga into her life over 10 years ago. Initially for Caitlyn, yoga was strictly a form of physical exercise that she enjoyed doing. With time and energy her practice began to evolve. She began noticing a positive effect from her yoga in not only her physical body, but also in her mind and in her attitude towards life. This mindful practice has helped Caitlyn lessen her general anxiety as well as cope with postpartum anxiety.

    In 2016 she traveled to Bali, Indonesia where she spent a month working towards her 200 hour teacher training certificate, specifically focusing on Ashtanga yoga.

    Once she returned from Bali, she immediately began to immerse herself into a more yoga oriented lifestyle, quickly discovering that she had a passion for teaching yoga.

    Off the mat, Caitlyn is married to her high school sweetheart, Nate and is a Mom to their son Connor and daughter Millie. You can often catch her and her family at the beach, taking walks and traveling as much as possible!

    Caitlyn’s goal is to share the love, light and community of yoga to her students and fellow yogis.

  • Emily Banos

    FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Lydia + Zach

    Emily is an elementary reading specialist by trade who fell in love with group fitness while attending the University of Maryland. She has been teaching classes on and off for ten years in the Boston and Chicago areas. Emily teaches a variety of formats including cardio kickboxing, muscle conditioning, HIIT, bootcamp and spin. Kickboxing is her favorite- it's a great way to burn off some steam!

    She is passionate about making fitness fun and accessible to everyone- whether you exercise six times a week or haven't exercised in six years! Since becoming a mother Emily has developed a passion for creating jam-packed classes so busy moms can get the most out of their workout time.

    Emily lives in Newburyport with her husband Andrew and two children, Lydia and Zachary. She loves traveling, reading, shopping and reality TV.

  • Lauren Biese

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Maddox

    Lauren Biese is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Pilates teacher who has been practicing for over a decade. She credits a consistent movement practice with helping her through many of life’s ups and downs.

    Lauren’s personal journey with a rare autoimmune disease inspired her to go back to school to help others.

    In 2019, she completed the Health Coach Professional Training Program at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC. Later that same year she began her training to become a Yoga Therapist and is currently working towards her C-IAYT certification.

    Lauren combined her knowledge of health coaching and yoga to create Northshore Yoga Therapy where she sees private clients virtually.

    Lauren has also volunteered her teaching skills with organizations including Next Step Fund, Inc., and Go Give Yoga where she traveled to teach in Haiti.

    Her latest (and favorite) role is being a Mom to her son Maddox.

  • Claire Contrada, M. Ed.

    SENSORY + ARTS INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Teddy and John

    Claire has worked with children for the majority of her life! She attended Saint Michael's College in Vermont where she earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Elementary Education. In 2014, she moved to NYC to pursue her Master degree at Teachers College, Columbia University as a Literacy Specialist. She is a licensed Elementary School Teacher and Literacy Specialist. Since graduating with her undergraduate degree she has worked as an Early Childhood teacher - 1 year in Pre-K, 10+ years in Kindergarten and 3 in 2nd grade. She has worked hard to make her classrooms accessible for all learners placing a high focus on flexible seating, sensory input/output, multi-sensory learning experiences and integrating play back to the heart of her teaching.

    Since having her two boys Teddy (4 years) and John (1 year), she has spent even more time nestled in all her favorite topics, child development, sensory integration, literacy, and play based learning. Her boys have been her biggest inspiration for changing and strengthening her pedagogy. She loves to help families and teachers integrate multi-sensory play into learning.

    She, her husband John and two boys moved to Newburyport, MA in 2022 to be closer to family and friends this summer. They are enjoying their new town, settling in, and meeting new friends!

  • Emily Goncalves

    POMSQUAD FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Penelope + Oscar

    Emily is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who loves to fill her free time with exercise and fitness -- it is her go-to self care! Emily grew up cheering and dancing and after taking her first POMSQUAD fitness class, she was hooked! She has been involved in fitness her entire life and was inspired to get certified to teach POM due to the joy it sparked within her. She's excited to help busy moms like herself get in a FUN, worthwhile, energetic, and sweaty workout.

    When she is not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trail running, learning how to play tennis with her husband, skiing, listening to mental health related podcasts, reading about relationships, and watching The Bachelor.

  • Samantha Kuczun

    MUSIC + THEATER INSTUCTOR, Mom to Riley Rae + Jacob

    Samantha is thrilled to bring her love and passion for the performing arts to The Mom Comm! As a mom of two littles, she can’t wait to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with this next generation.

    Samantha has performed at theatres including North Shore Music Theatre, Amesbury Playhouse, and The Music Hall. Currently, she is the owner and director of Special Stars, a performing arts program for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Samantha is also the afterschool theatre director at the Salisbury Elementary School and is on faculty at the Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts.

    Samantha can’t wait to sing and dance with you all at the studio and have lots of fun!

  • Lauren Morash

    KIDS + FAMILY YOGA INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Maisie

    Lauren is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with a background as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. Lauren has years of experience caring for and teaching children in all different capacities.

    She loves bringing yoga to children in a fun and exciting way! Lauren is a mom to a 2 year old, Maisie and when she’s not on the mat she enjoys a good book, a good thrift haul and pasta in any form!

  • Maggie Opolski

    FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Ophelia + Daphne

    Maggie is a mom of two young girls, Ophelia and Daphne. She grew up and still lives with her family in Haverhill, MA. After spending most of her childhood and teens in competitive swimming, she found a love for group fitness while attending UMASS Amherst. She initially got her start teaching cycling, but over time has added strength, cardio, and boot camp style classes to her lineup. Maggie loves bringing people together through fitness, and truly enjoys the team atmosphere you get in a group fitness class. When she is not working out, you can usually find Maggie spending time with her family, cooking, watching bravo, and looking after her dogs, plus a foster dog or two.

  • Elizabeth Schena, M. Ed

    KIDS/STEM INSTRUCTOR, Mom to Josephine, Quinn and Mikey

    Elizabeth is thrilled to be joining The Mom Comm team and community. She has worked with children in a variety of ways for years. Elizabeth attended the University of Delaware where she received dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education: Moderate Disabilities. After receiving these degrees, Elizabeth continued on with her education and passion for literacy at Lesley University where she received her masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy Specialization. From there, she began her journey as a classroom teacher spending 2 years teaching 5th grade, 3 years teaching 3rd grade and a year teaching 1st grade. Elizabeth’s classroom was always focused around the student and creating a positive learning environment. Elizabeth strives to create a hands on learning experience that is accessible for all types of learners!
